Attorney Joe Harris of Cedar Rapids; ethical gremlin

The state of Iowa presented Joe Henry Harris with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from the University of Iowa Law School.

The Iowa Supreme Court Disciplinary Board found Joey guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Joey represented a client who lived near the proposed cite for a new landfill. During the representation, Joey found it acceptable to send out 325 faxes to Cedar Rapids bushiness advocating a change in city government critical of the Cedar Rapids Mayor and Commissioners for selecting that particular site for the landfill.

Joey’s fax also stated: “our city needs new leadership—vote for change in city government.

Joey’s anonymous faxes were in violation of Iowa law in regards to political advertisements.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Joey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2015), Joey practices at 225 Second Street in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
