Attorney Ian Polow of New Rochelle, NY; ethical dwarf

The state of New York presented Ian Leslie Polow with a law license in 1968 after he graduated from Georgetown University Law School.

The Second Departmental Disciplinary Committee found Ian guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Wrote $20,000 check on insufficient fund account (rubber)
• Engaged in conduct reflecting adversely on fitness to practice law
• Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
• Failed to properly maintain books and accounts as required
• Failed to provide client with required written fee agreement

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Second Departmental Disciplinary Committee punished Ian by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

Because Attorney Misfits in New York are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Ian was never criminally charged for writing bad checks.

As we speak (ca. January 2015), Ian practices at 150 Woodlawn Avenue in New Rochelle, New York.
