Attorney John Schruefer Jr. of Baltimore; ethical misfit

The state of Maryland presented John A. Schruefer Jr. with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from the University of Baltimore Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to safeguard his client’s settlement funds
• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Improperly deposited client funds into office account

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
