Attorney Mary Brennan of North Bethesda, MD; tax cheat

The state of Maryland presented Mary D. Brennan with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from Ohio State University. Mary also received a law license from the District of Columbia in 1998.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Mary guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to file federal and state income tax returns three consecutive years
  • Engaged in criminal acts adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Engage in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in the illegal practice of law
  • Violated rules regarding proper use of attorney trust account

As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme Court punished Mary by gifting her with a complimentary 90-day suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. July 2016), Marty practices at 1103 Parklawn Drive in North Bethesda, Maryland.
