Attorney Allen Thomason of Highland, UT; lying loser

The state of Utah presented Allen F. Thomason with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from Brigham Young University (BYU) Law School.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme Court found Allen guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with candor while dealing with tribunal
  • Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Conduct by assisting or inducing another to do so or through the acts of another
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Committed criminal act reflecting adversely on honesty and trustworthiness
  • Failed to respect the rights of third persons
  • Sent emails to opposing counsel that contained numerous misrepresentations (lies)
  • Stated or implied ability to improperly influence government agency or official or to achieve results by means that violate Rules of Conduct or other laws
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Threatened to sue victims of misconduct unless they dismissed their ethics complaints

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Allen by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. December 2014), Allen practices with Thomason LLC at 10652 Northwest Jerling Drive in Highland, Utah.
