Attorney Harold Thompson of Columbus; thieving repeater

The state of Ohio presented Harold Lee Thompson with a law license in 1975 after he graduated from the University of Connecticut Law School.

The Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Harry guilty of misconduct

  • Misappropriated (stole) client funds
  • Used funds belonging client to pay personal expenses
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Caused four overdrafts of client trust account
  • Failed to maintain client funds in interest-bearing account
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
  • Failed to maintain appropriate accounting records
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Harry’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary reprimand for engaging in some of the same misconduct aforementioned.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Harry by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. November 2014) Harry practices with The Thompson Law Firm at 85 East Gay Street in Columbus, Ohio.
