Attorney Linda McCown of Manteo, NC; ethical misfit

The state of North Carolina presented Linda H. McCown with a law license in 1989 after she graduated from Duke University Law School.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar charged Linda with the following misconduct.

• Engaged in a conflict of interest
• Had another attorney sign pleading she prepared to conceal conflict 
• Was not candid (lied) to ethics investigators (Up yours, said Linda!)

As a consequence of her misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Linda by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2014) Linda practices at 300 Sir Walter Raleigh Street in Manteo, North Carolina.
