Attorney Mark Ruppelt of Milwaukee; lying cheater

The state of Wisconsin presented Mark Alan Ruppelt with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from Marquette University Law School.

The Office of Lawyer Registration (OLR) found Mark guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, a client hired Mark’s former firm to represent her in two legal matters, one civil, one criminal. Several months later, Mark appeared as counsel for he woman at a sentencing hearing relating to a criminal case in which she was the victim.

While the civil case was still pending, Mark began a sexual relationship with the client. A couple of weeks later, the law firm became aware of Marks sexual relationship. Mark then met with his former partner and another senior attorney at the firm to discuss their concerns about Marks sexual relationship with a client. At that meeting, Mark misrepresented (lied) about he nature of the relationship.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Wisconsin Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2014), Mark practices with the Ruppelt Law Office at 500 West Silverspring Drive in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
