Attorney Alexander McCann of Portland, ME; ethical dwarf

The state of Maine presented Alexander F. McCann with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Suffolk University Law School.

The Maine Board of Overseers of the found Alex guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to promptly deliver client funds to client that client was entitled to receive
• Failed to keep disputed funds separate from his own until dispute resolved
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Failed to pay funds lawfully belonging to estate for more than 2 years

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court punished Alex by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2014) Alex practices with the Law Office of Alexander McCann at 75 Pearl Street in Portland, Maine.
