Attorney Charles Ferris of Waterville, ME; ethical gremlin
The state of Maine presented Charles T. Ferris with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from the University of Maine Law School.
The Maine Board of Overseers of the found Charlie guilty of the following misconduct.
- Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
- Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
- Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Conduct or knowingly assisted or induced another to do so
- Failed to properly supervise office staff
- Failed to respect the rights of third persons
As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maine Supreme Judicial Court punished Charlie by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. November 2014) Charlie practices with Ferris, Gurney & Crook PC at 11 Park Street in Waterville, Maine.
