Attorney Raven Pillette of Abbeville, LA; ethical misfit

The state of Louisiana presented Raven Nicole Matthews Pillette with a law license in 2002 after she graduated from Southern University (LSU) Law School.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Raven guilty of the following misconduct

• Mishandled client trust account
• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Allowed trust account to become overdrawn because of her use of a debit card associated with the account

As a consequence of her misconduct, the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Raven by gifting her with a complimentary 90-day suspension of her law license.
