Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT): Today’s Moron Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT)

Today’s Moron Award Winner

Jason succeeded in duping the voters in Utah into electing him as a U.S. Representative in November 2008.

During a recent (10/22/14) appearance on the Fox News Comedy Network, Jason decided to further establish that he is one of America’s Premier Morons.

After President Obama announced the appointment of Ron Klain as his Ebola response coordinator, Jason said Klain is “off to a bad start.”

Jason then asked:

  • “Why not have the surgeon general head this up?”
    “I think that’s a very legitimate question.”
  • “At least you have somebody who has a medical background whose been confirmed by the United States Senate.”

The Moron finished up his questions by asking:

  • “It begs the question, what does the surgeon general do?”
  • “Why aren’t we empowering that person?”

Obviously, the Moron feels giddy in running his ignorant mouth when it is common knowledge in DC that there is no one serving as Surgeon General even though Obama nominated Dr. Vivek Murthy for that position nearly one year ago.

In fact the only reason Dr. Murthy hasn’t been approved by the Senate is because the National Rifle Association, one of America’s Premier Medical Groups has opposed his appointment because he has advocated for an assault weapons ban, and in 2012, he tweeted that gun violence is “a health care issue.”

It’s painfully clear that Jason is just another Moron running amuck in the Halls of Congress that is more than happy to flap his jaws in an ongoing effort to attack President Obama.

Congrats Jason; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Morons”; you are far too humble.
