Attorney Robert Hoopes of Marlton, NJ; ethical leprechaun

The state of Pennsylvania presented Robert Patrick Hoopes with a law license in 1989.

The New Jersey Office of Ethics found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Bobby engaged in an egregious conflict of interest when he filed lawsuit against his own client while still representing the client in a personal injury matter. Bobby then obtained a judgment against the client and executed it while representing the client.

During the same time period, Bobby sponsored the client’s race car and advertised his law practice on the car while representing the client and purchased the client’s interest in a race that was jointly owned by Bobby and the client while representing the client in pending litigation.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. November 2014), Bobby practices at 37 South Maple Avenue in Marlton, New Jersey.
