Attorney Shelley Weinberg of Denville, NJ; ethical dwarf

The state of New Jersey presented Shelley A. Weinberg with a law license in 1988 after she graduated from Touro College Law School.

The New Jersey Office of Ethics found Shelley guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Conduct improper re: representation of Joseph Dente in a Social Security Disability manner
  • Conduct adversely reflected on her as an attorney
  • Failed to advise client of important aspects of his case
  • After erroneously advise client Social Security Disability claim had been denied, Shelley failed to explain her error to her client
  • Failed to notify her client she had terminated her representation of the client
  • Shelly’s conduct adversely reflected on all members of the State Bar

As a consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Shelley by gifting her with a complimentary admonishment.
