Judge John Hynes of Bridgeview, IL; lying loser

The state of Illinois provided John Joseph Hynes with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from the Western State University Law School.

While applying for a judicial position in 1998, Johnny knowingly and intentionally concealed relevant information on his application form that he absolutely knew he was required to disclose. At the time Johnny was employed as an assistant Cook County state’s attorney.

In his application, Johnny failed to disclose that two murder convictions had been reversed by the Illinois Appellate Court in 1991 because Johnny had discriminated against African-Americans during jury selection. (Chicago Tribune)

In addition, Johnny did not amend his application to show that the Appellate Court had, in another case, also reversed another murder conviction because Johnny discriminated during jury selection. That appellate ruling came down two weeks before the 261 Cook County Judges elected Johnny to the bench.

In a lame effort at levity, Johnny defended the appellate court findings of racism by calling the rulings “insults to common sense and even subnormal intelligence.”

Subsequently, an ethics complaint was lodged against Johnny with the Illinois Judicial Commission; however, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Commission failed to take any disciplinary action against Johnny.

As we speak (ca. October 2014), Johnny continues to sit as an Associate Cook County Circuit Court Judge in Bridgeview, Illinois.
