The state of California provided Elisa Ann Castro with a law license in 1994 after she graduated from Loyola University Law School in Los Angeles.
The California State Bar Court found Elisa guilty of the following misconduct.
- Abandoned several clients
- Repeatedly failed to refund unearned fees (crook)
- Failed to communicate with client
- Failed to provide competent legal services (Moron)
- Failed to account for client funds
- Failed to timely file notice of appeal on client’s behalf
- Failed to appear on client’s behalf at 3 hearings on child support matter
- Sanctioned $780 by court for failing to appear in a divorce matter
- Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Elisa!)
- Failed to take steps to protect client interests
As a consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the California Bar Court punished Elisa by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of her law license.
In truth, the comedians sitting on the California State Bar Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Elisa.
