Attorney Russell Peet of Saskatchewan; ethical misfit

The Law Society of Saskatchewan presented Russell Milton Peet with a law license in 1981after he graduated from the University of Saskatchewan Law School.

The Law Society of Saskatchewan found Russ guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct unbecoming an officer of the court
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Russell!)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to respond to client inquiries
  • Failed to serve clients in conscientious manner

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Law Society of Saskatchewan Committee punished Russ by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license and a $5,000 fine.

As we speak (ca. October 2014), Russ practices with the Peet Law Firm at 71 First Avenue NW in Preeceville, Saskatchewan, Canada.
