Attorney Tal Rappleyea of Valatie, NY; ethical leprechaun

The state of New York presented Tal Gene Rappleyea with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from Hamline University Law School located in St. Paul, Minnesota.

The Grievance Committee found Francis Tal of the following misconduct.

At the time, Tal worked for the Columbia County attorney’s office and 11 other towns. In two cases, Tal was paid for more than 24 hours of labor in a single day. Whew, another valuable government workaholic.

An investigation of Tal’s 2010 billing invoices and payment records from his 30-hours-per-week job as an assistant Columbia County attorney established that Tal was over paid for working well over 70 hours a week. During one week in September 2010, Tal was paid for working 93.75 hours.

On June 14, 2010, Tal was paid for working 24.75 hours in a single day and on September 28, 2010, Tal the Workaholic was paid for working 26 hours. On at least 28 separate occasions, Tal was paid for working more than 18 hours in one day.

If we could just clone a dedicated Workaholic like Tal, we could get rid of half of the federal workforce since those left would be willing to work 24 or even 26 hours in one day.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee punished Tal by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2014), Tal practices at 4 Maple Lane in Valatie, New York, which is about 20 miles south of Albany.
