Attorney Ray King of Gahanna, OH; cheating loser
The state of Ohio presented Lawrence Ray Jetmore King with a law license in 1974 after he graduated from Capitol University Law School in Columbus.
The Columbus Bar Association found Ray guilty of misconduct.
- Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
- Failed to advise client he didn’t carry malpractice insurance
- Misconduct involved multiple offenses
- Attempted to retain client funds by fabricating false fee claim
- Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law
- Provided false statements during disciplinary investigation
- Failed to properly maintain and oversee client trust account
- Failed to promptly return client’s money
- Acted with a dishonest and selfish motive
- Used client funds to pay personal expenses
- Commingled client funds with personal funds
- Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
- Failed to keep individual client ledgers
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Ray by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. September 2014) Ray practices at 727 Jonsol Court in Gahanna, Ohio, which is about 10 miles east of Columbus.
