Former Judge Anya Tendler of Madrid, NY; serial drunk

The state of New York presented Anya A. Tendler with a law license in 2009 after she graduated from New York Law School located in lower Manhattan.

On August 6, 2014, Anya the Drunk was arrested and charged with three felony counts of aggravated DWI (Driving while under the Influence), unlawfully fleeing police, reckless driving, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, moving from a lane unsafely, driving an unregistered motor vehicle, and consuming an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.

During the time of the accident and drunken operation of her vehicle, Anya’s triplets were in the car with her.

At about 8:00 am the following morning, a St. Lawrence County probation officer witnessed Any the Lush purchasing some booze. Anya was later found by the police at a local park with her triplets again in the car. The Ogdensburg city police arrested Anya, charged her with aggravated unlicensed operation, and held her at the St. Lawrence County jail.

In late August, Any the Lush resigned her position as a Madrid Town Court Judge in St. Lawrence County, New York.

It’s highly unlikely that the Grievance Commission will take any action against Anya for her criminal drunkenness. If they do, at worst she’ll likely receive a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. September 2014, Anya practices with the Law Office of Anya A. Tendler at 100 Ruddy Road in Madrid, New York.
