Attorney Marvin Berris of Bingham Farms, MI; ethical elf

The state of Michigan provided Marvin L. Berris with a law license in 1968 after he graduated from Wesleyan University Law School.

The Michigan Attorney Disciplinary Board found Marvin guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed as to status of legal matter
  • Failed to comply with client requests for information

Failed to explain matter to extent to permit client to make informed decisions regarding representation

As one would suspect, this isn’t Marvin’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary suspension of his law license for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Marvin by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2014) Marvin practices at 30400 Telegraph Road in Bingham Farms, Michigan, which is a suburb of Detroit.
