Attorney William Loftus of Phoenix; moron, repeat offender

 

The state of Arizona presented William C. Loftus with a law license in 1962 after he graduated from the University of Arizona Law School.

 

The Arizona State Bar found Billy guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Billy’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

 

  • Willfully neglected to communicate with client
  • Unnecessarily delayed filing of documents in probate matter
  • Made misrepresentations (lied) to clients
  • Refused to recognize that clients had fired him
  • Attempted to collect fees for time claimed to be spent after he was fired
  • Failed to appear at court ordered hearing in probate matter
  • Failed to provide competent representation (Moron)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Billy!)

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

 

Billy’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

 

  • Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
  • Failed to consult with client so client could make informed decisions re: representation
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to take necessary steps to protect client’s interest after being discharged
  • Failed to expedite litigation
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Refused to acknowledge wrongful nature of conduct
  • Displayed indifference to making restitution to victims

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

 

As we speak (ca. September 2014) Billy practices at 8050 North 19th Ave in Phoenix, Arizona.
