Attorney Dean Mosely of Jena, LA; ethical gremlin

The state of Louisiana presented Dean M. Mosely with a law license in 1969 after he graduated from the Louisiana State University (LSU).

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Dean guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Dean engaged in a conflict of interest and a breach of confidentiality regarding his representation of Charlotte Vick.

Dean had a personal relationship with Charlotte and provided her with uncompensated legal representation in the filing of an application for a license with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

Subsequently the relationship terminated; however, Dean then entered into a business arrangement with Charlotte regarding the sale of her interest in the license acquired from the FCC. Dean then instituted a complaint against Charlotte with the FCC to revoke her license. What a guy!

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Dean by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2014) Dean practices at 1382 North 2nd Street in Jena, Louisiana.
