The state of Louisiana presented Mark A. Marino with a law license in 2003.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found James guilty of the following misconduct.

The state bar conditionally admitted Chris to the practice of in 2003 after he disclosed three (3) alcohol-related arrests on his application to take the bar examination, subject to a two-year period of probation, during which he was required to comply with the terms of his contract with the Lawyers Assistance Program (LAP).

Within a year, Chris violated the terms of his conditional admission by using cocaine, drinking alcohol and missing Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Chris by revoking his law license. However, the comedians on the Supreme Court later reinstated Chris’s law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2014) Chris practices at 406 North Fourth Street in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
