Attorney Peter Meisner of River Ridge, LA; ethical elf
The state of Louisiana presented Peter M Meisner with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from the Louisiana State University (LSU).
The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Pete guilty of the following misconduct.
- Failed to keep disputed funds in separate trust account as required
- Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
- Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
- Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
- Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
- Failed to communicate with client
- Failed to act with candor towards tribunal
- Was untruthful when dealing with others
- Misconduct involved multiple offenses
- Failed to safeguard client property
As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Pete by gifting him with a complimentary 3-year suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. March 2013) Pete practices at 267 Garden Road in River Ridge, Louisiana.
