Chief Justice Thomas Moyer has unfortunately been sitting as Chief Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court since first elected in November 1987.

Professional Experience
  • Assistant Attorney General (aka, low-level lackey) Attorney General – 1994-1966 in the Taxation and Worker’s Compensation Sections
  • Probate Court Referee (aka, low-level lackey) for Commitments to Columbus State Hospital – 1968
  • Undistinguished private practice of law – 1966-1969
  • Deputy Assistant (aka, lackey, gopher, flunky, bootlicker, water boy and apple-polisher) to Governor Rhodes (4-Dead at Kent State Univ.) – 1969-1971
  • Undistinguished private practice of law – 1972-1975

Accomplishments
 
  • Responsible for Ohio ranking “dead last” in disciplining attorneys from 1987-2010
  • Personally approved retired judges billing 2 counties for a full day’s work on same date
  • Personally approved retired judges billing for hours never worked and/or for travel expenses never incurred (ca. 1987-2010)
  • Made new law in allowing for attorneys to bill ex-clients hourly fees for time spent responding to ethics grievances
  • Instituted rules allowing for Ohio attorneys to bill for hours never worked
  • Unethically allowed Supreme Court employees to contribute to his election campaigns (1992-2008)
  • Approved violation of Ohio law re: reimbursements to judges for actual travel expenses incurred
  • Authorized justices of Supreme Court to violate IRS rules on reporting income earned for personal use of state cars on annual W-2s (1983-2005)
  • Knowingly failed to report and/or under reported tens of thousands of dollars he earned from personal use of state car to the IRS, State of Ohio and City of Columbus (1983-2005)
