Attorney Daniel McCarthy of Brighton, UT; ethical leprechaun

The state of Utah presented Daniel G. McCarthy with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from the University of Utah Law School.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme Court found Danny guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Made derogatory and scandalous statements in patent applications
• Failed to take appropriate steps to remove scandalous statements
• Misrepresented (lied) that scandalous statements would be removed

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Dusten by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
