Attorney Edward McBride of Salt Lake City; ethical misfit

The state of Utah presented Edward W. McBride with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from the Vermont Law School.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme Court found Eddie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to respect the rights of third persons
  • Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Conduct by assisting or inducing another to do so or through the acts of another
  • Knowingly violated rules regarding filing of ethics complaints
  • Engaged in conduct he knew had no purpose other than to embarrass or burden other parties

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Eddie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. September 2014) Eddie practices with Vial Fotheringham LLP at 602 East 300 South in Salt Lake City, Utah.
