Judge Matthew Turner of Troy, NY; lazy loser

The state of New York presented Matthew Joseph Turner with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from Albany Law School.

The New York Judicial Commission found Matty guilty of the following misconduct.

Over the course of six years involving at least 29 cases, Matty failed to comply with New York law that required him to issue rulings within 60 days. He also violated the law by failing to inform the administrative judge of any cases he was handling that were pending longer than 60 days.

In one egregious example of laziness and/or gross incompetence, Matty failed to rule on a motion for six (6) years.

The Patron Saints for Judicial Misfits sitting on the New York Judicial Commission punished New York Judicial Commission Lazy Matty by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.

As we speak (ca. September 2014), Matt remains sitting as a City Court Judge in Troy, New York. Matty supplements his judicial salary of about $90,000 a year by practicing his brand of law at 54 Second Street in Troy, New York.
