Judge Kenneth Popejoy of Wheaton, IL; scofflaw

The state of Illinois presented Kenneth L. Popejoy with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from the University of Chicago Law School

The Illinois Judicial Inquiry Board found Al guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, while he was driving a Jeep Liberty, Kenny struck an unattended parked car and then, with willful and wanton disregard for the safety of persons and property, drove from the scene at a high rate of speed while the passenger-side front tire of his car was nearly off the rim, disobeyed multiple stop signs, and caused a thirteen-year old girl to move away from the road quickly in order to avoid being struck by his car.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Kenny by gifting him with a complimentary 60-days suspension from his judicial position.

As we speak (ca. August 2014), Kenny continues to sit as a DuPage County Circuit Court Judge in Wheaton, Illinois.
