Judge Albert Purham Jr. of Peoria, IL; drunken loser

The state of Illinois presented Albert L. Purham Jr. with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School.

The Illinois Judicial Inquiry Board found Al guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Al drove a car while under the influence (DUI) and was pulled over by a police officer because he was swerving and drifting between lanes.

The office then detected the odor of booze while questioning Al. Subsequently, Al was arrested for driving under the influence and for improper lane usage.

Al was sentenced to court supervision for a period of twelve months, fined $750, and ordered to complete all required treatment and counseling pursuant to an alcohol evaluation.

In addition, Al was ordered to complete treatment for alcohol abuse. An unreliable source indicated that Steve opted to attend the Mel Gibson Institute for Sobriety located in West Hollywood, California.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Al by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. August 2014), Steven continues to sit as a Peoria County Circuit Court Judge in Peoria, Illinois.
