Judge Sandy Kautz of Inverness, FL; ethical misfit

The state of Florida presented Sandy K. Kautz with a law license in 1997 after she graduated from Stetson University Law School.

The Judicial Qualifications Commission found Judge Kautz guilty of the following misconduct.

Failed to act with patience and dignity involving juvenile cases

Refused to avail herself of support offered by judicial colleagues

In one matter, Judge Kautz found it acceptable to appear on behalf of her sister at her sister’s first appearance after she was arrested.

As a consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Sandy by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. August 2014), Sandy continues to sit as a Fifth Circuit Court Judge in Inverness, Florida.
