This ongoing attempt by Chief Justice Thomas Moyer to eliminate the voter’s right to choose is rather disturbing given his personal conduct in applying a merit-based decision on personally appointing judges.

I for one do not believe in the merit selection of judges due to the undeniable fact that the politics involved is even worse than it is via the election of judges. At least in the election process, the voters have an opportunity to personally make a selection based on the records of the candidates from either party.
