Attorney Mark Humphrey of Portland; repeat offender

The state of Oregon provided Mark R. Humphrey with a law license in 1990.

The Oregon State Bar found Mark guilty of the following misconduct

  • Neglected a legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to promptly pay client funds owing to client
  • Failed to maintain proper records of client funds
  • Failed to promptly notify client of receipt of funds
  • Failed to timely respond to bar complaint (Up Yours, said Mark!)
  • Failed to deposit client funds in client trust account
  • Failed to prepare account of client funds
  • Failed to return client property to client
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Mark’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary 145-day suspension for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary 90- day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2014) Mark practices in the Portland, Oregon area.
