Attorney Philip Berns of Stamford, CT; ethical misfit

The state of Connecticut provided Philip E. Berns with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from Pace University Law School.

The Statewide Grievance Committee found Phil guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Phil found it acceptable to improperly terminate representation of a  client on day of
hearing in an immigration matter despite the fact that the client paid Phil $1,700

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Phil by gifting him with a third complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. August 2014) Phil practices at 440 Bedford Street in Stamford, Connecticut.
