Attorney Charles Hallberg of Cedar Rapids; ethical leprechaun

The state of Iowa presented Charles A. Hallberg with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from the University of Iowa Law School.

The Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board found Charlie guilty of the following misconduct.

  1. Failed to provide client with accounting of claimed fees
  2. Failed to provide client with refund of unearned fees
  3. Client forced to file lawsuit to obtained refund of unearned fees
  4. Money judgment entered against Charlie for unearned fees owed to client
  5. Charlie unsuccessfully appeals money judgment obtained by client

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Charlie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2014), Charlie practices with the Hallberg Law Office at 3500 F Avenue NW in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
