Attorney Jerrold Jacobsen of Cedar Falls; repeat offender

The state of Iowa presented Jerrold E. Jacobsen with a law license in 1952 after he graduated from the University of Iowa Law School.

 

The Iowa Supreme Court Attorney Disciplinary Board found Jerry guilty of the following misconduct.

 

Jerry’s 1st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Failed to disclose material fact to trial court

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Jerry by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

 

Jerry’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

  • Prepared will for elderly client bequeathing $50,000 to Jerry and $50,000 to his secretary
  • Engaged in a conflict of interest

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Jerry by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

 

As we speak (ca. July 2014), Jerry practices with the Jacobsen Law Office at 704 Main Street in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
