Judge Robert McCallen III of Wabash, IN; ethical misfit

The state of Indiana presented Robert McCallen with a law license in 1974 after he graduated from the University of Tulsa Law School.

In one matter, a complaint was put forth by a litigant who asserted that Bobby presided over a case wherein there was a distinct conflict of interest.

The conflict allegedly involved an attorney, Steven Downs who had both trained Bobby and later employed Bobby as a member of his law firm.

Moreover, the person complaining stated that attorney Downs also represented the Wabash County council that appropriated money for Bobby’s court.

As one would suspect, no action was ever taken against Bobby by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Indiana Judicial Commission.

Luckily for the residents of Wabash County, Bobby’s current term on the bench ends in 2016. If Bobby has the chutzpah to run again, I’m hopeful the voters will tell him to take a hike.

As we speak (ca. July 2014), Bobby continues to sit as a Wabash County Circuit Court Judge.
