Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA): Today’s “Rodney Dangerfield” Award Winner

Congratulations to….

Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA)

Today’s “Rodney Dangerfield” Award Winner

During a recent (June 2014) interview with comedian Greg Corombos of the WorldNetDaily Comedy Blog, laughingly claimed that Rep. Eric Cantor’s recent primary defeat in Virginia was yet another reason why Attorney General Eric Holder should be impeached.

During a recent (06/22/14) interview on the Fox News Sunday Comedy Show, Kevin was asked if he would be willing to work with President Obama. Kevin said he could work with just about anyone excepting majority leader Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV).

Kevin went on to laughingly say:

  • “I believe you can work with anybody. The challenge has been Harry Reid.”
  • “There are more than 240 bills you can work with anybody. The challenge has been Harry Reid.”
  • “If you want to know the problem, the frustration with Washington, it has been the Senate.”
  • “The Senate has not moved anything; they never send something to the president’s desk, so how do you even negotiate with the president if he doesn’t have the bill on his desk.”

Of the 240 bills Kevin speaks of, the vast majority were bills offered by right wing ideologues (Screwballs) that never had any chance of passage in the Senate and in any event would have been vetoed by Obama.

60 of the bills that Kevin alludes to called for repealing or defunding Obamacare. Anyone with an I.Q. just a tad north of 60 absolutely knew that Obama would veto such a bill if it ever reached his desk. There are well over another 100 bills passed by the House that would have also been vetoed by Obama if they landed on his desk.

In a lame attempt at levity, Kevin went on to say that if the GOP takes over the senate in November, “I think it’ll be a new day for America and a new direction.”

Kevin absolutely knows that the biggest problem in the Senate was and is Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) who vowed that his primary purpose was to assure that Obama was never re-elected. If one looks up the word “obstructionist” in the dictionary, it doesn’t offer any explanation, it merely displays a picture of Sen. McConnell.

Congrats Kevin; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of Americas Least Appreciated “Standup Comedians”; you are far too humble.
