Judge John Galluzzo of Sanford, FL; lying loser

The state of Florida presented Gerald Kent Crow with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from Nova Southeastern University Law School.

Former Gov. Jeb Bush was duped into appointing Johnny as a Seminole County Circuit Court Judge in 2006. Johnny didn’t get the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Sanford area. He received the appointment because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

Judge Galluzzo was assigned to hear the case of Mariah Berry who had an I.Q. of 65 was hired as a babysitter by Erika Zaccour. While babysitting the Rios’ two children, the youngest one drowned in the bathtub where Berry had left the children by themselves for several minutes. Subsequently, the older child turned on the faucet.

Ms. Berry said she knew something was wrong when the older child emerged from the bathroom saying, “Baby, baby, baby.”

Subsequently, Ms. Berry was charged with aggravated manslaughter. Shortly thereafter, Judge Galluzzo stated in open court, and again in chambers, that if Ms. Berry pleaded no contest, he would sentence her to five or six years in prison. Instead, Lying Johnny sentenced her to 15 years in prison.

Clearly, it was a horrific accident that caused the death of the infant; however, to suggest that someone with an I.Q. of 65 should be sentenced to 15 years as a result of such an incident is absurd. Even more absurd is Johnny’s prior promise to Ms. Berry that he would limit her sentence to 5 or 6 years if she pleaded no contest.

As usual, one would should never rely on the word of a Judge and that is especially true when someone’s liberty is at stake. Had Ms. Berry gone to trial, it would be hard to imagine that a jury would have found her guilty of “aggravated manslaughter” after discovering she had an I.Q. of 65. One can be assured that Judge Galluzzo was well aware that conviction by a jury was unlikely when he duped Ms. Berry into pleading no contest.

As we speak (ca. June 2014), Galluzzo remains sitting as a Circuit Court Judge in Sanford, Florida.
