Alasdair found it acceptable to knowingly violate the rules relating to engaging in a conflict of interest.
Improperly retained correspondence addressed to law partner
In one matter, Alex found it acceptable to retain correspondence that was specifically addressed to his former law partner.
Making matters worse, Alex failed to disclose to his law partner that he had retained the correspondence.
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Discipline Tribunal punished Alex by gifting him with a complimentary censure.
