Commissioner Anthony Parise of Bellingham, WA; bullying loser

The state of Washington presented Anthony Scott Parise with a law license in 1993.

Tony was appointed as a Commissioner for the Whatcom County District Court in 2003. Tony didn’t get the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the Bellingham area. He got it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

The Washington State Commission on Judicial Conduct found Tony guilty of the following misconduct.

On three separate cases for once defendant, Tony referred to the defendant’s charges for driving offenses as “crimes,” a characterization with which the defendant took issue, arguing that a “real crime” is “breaking into somebody’s house and stealing shit.”

Tony then said, “Oh, I wish you hadn’t sworn there. Yeah, that just made it a lot worse.” Moments later Tony said: “The reason you got problems here today is cuz you don’t show up for court and you got a huge history.” Okay? That’s the deal. And now you got a bigger problem in addition to blowing me off by not showing up to court you’re swearing at me as you give your explanation.” Then the following conversation took place:

Defendant:  “Oh come on, that’s… that’s…”

Tony:  “Is that bullshit? Is that bullshit?”

Defendant:  “Okay, there we go.”

Tony:  “Yeah.”

Defendant:  “You just said it.”

Tony:  “You’re right. I’ll say it again if you want.”

Later in the hearing, after the defendant questioned Tony’s authority as a commissioner rather than a “real judge, Tony the Loser illegally set bail at $500,000 ($1.5 million in total) on each of the three charges, all of which were misdemeanor driving offenses.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Washington Commission on Judicial Conduct punished Tony by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2014), Tony remains sitting as a Whatcom County District Court Commissioner in Bellingham, Washington.
