Attorney Ronald Hines of Elizabethtown, KY; ethical misfit
The state of Kentucky presented Ronald Hines with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from the University of Louisville Law School.
The Kentucky Bar Association found Ronnie guilty of the following misconduct.
- Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
- Refused to acknowledge wrongful nature of conduct
- Misconduct involved multiple offenses
- Improperly turned over files to another attorney
- Failed to provide competent representation (Dufus)
- Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
- Failed to terminate representation when required to so act
- Failed to maintain client confidences
- Lack of candor towards trial court
- Acted unfairly towards opposing counsel
As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on Kentucky Supreme Court the punished Ronnie by gifting him with a complimentary 120-day suspension of his law license.
As we speak (June 2014), Ronnie practices at 201 North Main Street in Elizabeth, Kentucky.
