Former Judge Ajay Kumar Srivastava of Bihar, India; ethical dwarf

Ajay Kumar Srivastava was presented with a law license in 1999.

Ajay was unfortunately appointed to the bench in 2013.

A Patna High Court committee found Ajay guilty of “indecent behavior” and various “malpractices” during the time he sat as a judge in Jehanabad.

In its ruling forcing Ajay to immediately retire from the bench, Chief Justice Rehka M. Doshit said that “Srivastava has outlived his utility as a judicial officer.”

If “outliving one’s utility as a judge” was all that was necessary to remove judges from the bench here in the U.S. of Al, there would be thousands of vacancies.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the Patna High Committee ordered Ajay’s forced retirement from the bench. In truth, Ajay was given the boot by the Committee.

As we speak (ca. June 2014) Ajay continues to practice law in the Uttar Pradesh area of India.
