Attorney John Sutton of Tuscaloosa; lying loser

The state of Alabama presented John Thomas Sutton with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from Birmingham Law School.

The Alabama State Bar Association found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

• Made a false statement of material fact or law to a tribunal
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonest or misrepresentation
• Violated or attempted to violate rules of conduct or knowingly assisted or induced another to do so
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice law

In one matter, Johnny found it acceptable to allow incomplete and inaccurate (false) bankruptcy schedules and an inaccurate certified statement of financial affairs to be submitted to the bankruptcy court in support of Johnny’s personal bankruptcy filing.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2014), Johnny practices with the Law Office of John T. Sutton at 2811 Sixth Street in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
