Attorney Alan Welch of Somerville, NJ; ethical misfit

The state of New Jersey presented Alan Edward Welch with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from Villanova University Law School.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Alan guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Attempted to prevent party from pursuing ethics grievance against him’
  • Released proceeds from check to two payees w/o endorsement or permission of other payee

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey

Supreme Court punished Alan by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2014), Alan practices at 4 East Cliff Street in Somerville, New Jersey.
