Attorney Keith Smith of Northfield, NJ; repeat offender

The state of New Jersey presented Keith T. Smith with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the University of Utah Law School.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Keith guilty of the following misconduct.

  1. Engaged in gross neglect of client matters
  2. Failed to expedite litigation
  3. Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Up Yours, said Keith!)
  4. Engaged in the illegal practice of law while license suspended
  5. Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  6. Misconduct involved a pattern of neglect

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Keith’s first bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary admonishment for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey

Supreme Court punished Keith by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. June 2014), Keith practices at 2111 New Road in Northfield, New Jersey.
