Attorney Richard Russo of Phillipsburg, NJ; ethical dwarf

The state of New Jersey presented Richard Russo with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Dick guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Dick found it acceptable to engage in an egregious conflict of interest by counseling one of the beneficiaries to an estate he was representing to disclaim a bequest that was clearly against the best interest of the beneficiary and that injured to the benefit of the estate.

As if that wasn’t enough, Dick also prepared the disclaimer for the beneficiary’s signature.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey

Supreme Court punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.

As we speak (ca. June 2014), Dick practices with Russo Russo & Russo at 97 South Main Street in Phillipsburg, New Jersey.
