Judge Bill Weisenberger of Canton, MS; misogynistic racist

Judge Weisenberger (Good Ol’ Boy Billie) sits as a Judge on the Madison County Justice Court in Canton, Mississippi, which is about 50 miles east of Jackson.

Billie presided over the case of 20-year-old Eric Rivers regarding a complaint filed against Billie by his family in connection with a May 8 incident at the Canton Flea Market. The incident involved Billie striking Mr. Rivers who is black and suffers from a mental disability.

Cathy Hendrix a vendor at the Flea Market said that she and other vendors rely on local people to help load and unload their vehicles, paying for the help. Cathy said she saw Mr. Rivers standing on the sidewalk, asking if they needed help. “That young man was wanting to work to earn money to buy a bike,” she said. (The Clarion Ledger)

Cathy’s sister, Tammy Westbrook, said she saw Billie “rear back and slap” Mr. Rivers twice. After Mr. Rivers ran away, Tammy said she heard Billie yell out, “Run, boy, run,” and “run nigger, run.” Tammy went on to say she overheard Billie brag afterward about what he had done.

Ms. Hendrix said that after Billie’s encounter with Mr. Rivers, she was the judge “jump” a female vendor, “telling her would make her park far away and make her walk to load her goods.” When the woman replied that he should “change his tone” with her, Billie replied that he would only deal with her husband because he didn’t take orders from a woman.”

Billie’s despicable conduct is now under investigation by the Mississippi Judicial Commission. Given its sad history of disciplining unethical judges, Billie will likely receive a complimentary reprimand for his racist comments.

I’m sure we’ll all be witness to Billie claiming he’s not a racist by claiming he has a black friend; however, that so-called friend is the feller that carries his luggage to his room when he travels to the Grand Casino in Biloxi.

If justice were truly blind, Billie would be criminally prosecuted for assaulting Mr. Rivers.

As we speak (ca. June 2014), Billy remains sitting as a Madison County Justice Court Judge in Canton, Mississippi.
