Attorney Robert Sheahan of High Point, NC; lying cheater

The state of North Carolina presented Robert E. Sheahan with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from North Carolina Central University Law School. 

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct.

• Charged clearly excessive fees in two client matters (crook)
• Knowingly made false statements about another attorney
• Made threats against another attorney

Apparently, Bobby was jealous of the success of attorney Robert R. Schoch. During a defamatory rant, Bobby said of Mr. Schoch:

• “You couldn’t think of a worse person”
• “There’s nobody in town that has any respect for me, I’m sorry I mean him.”
• “He’s an asshole.”
• “He’s a cokehead.”

In another matter, Bobby illegally attempted to collect $8,700 in interest on a $27,000 legal bill. Bobby’s client (victim) never agreed to pay any interest on any legal bill and Bobby’s interest rate of nearly 30 percent exceeded the legal rate in North Carolina.

As a consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary censure.
